Wonderful

Large hotel located 10 mins walk from an underground station. Clean spacious room with great view of Tokyo Radio tower. Good breakfast buffet.

Pool closed despite warm weather. Fine foyer with beautiful motifs and furniture only open for formal tea 11.30 to 4.30. What a shame would be lovely to relax in of an evening.

Very pleased with the staff and my room, more spacious than most in Tokyo. Very quiet and with a lovely view of the city. Pretty easy walk to Toyocho station about 10 mins away ideal for using my Tokyo Subway pass. Will certainly stay here again if I return to Tokyo.

Loved it

Loved this hotel, lots of amenities nearby and in the small mall below. The traditional room was awesome, it was close to a suite (it had a good amount of space). The view of the Tokyo skytower was great. Ate in the restaurant once and the staff were very polite and helpful. The suitcase transfer to our next hotel was brilliant, they made it so easy and stress-free. The coffee machine in the room was spot on too! Not those horrible sachets you get!!

The restaurant was a little expensive, it was a bit further out of the main part of Tokyo than we expected. Not many negatives.

I would highly recommend this great Hotel.

The location was great with many restaurants and cafes along the way to the short walk to the subway to catch a train to Tokyo Station. Huge supermarket next door and beautiful bakery in the hotel. The room was comfortable and spacious compared to a lot of Tokyo hotels. We had a great view overlooking the city lights and skytree tower.

It is to be expected to have a language barrier when travelling internationally, however, the guest relations team member we spoke with had basically no English so we ensured that our instructions where we wanted to go were on paper in both Japanese and English. When instructing the taxi where we wanted to go it all got lost in translation and we ended up in an entirely different place and missed our bus connection. It may have been part fault of the taxi driver as well.

The customers services was on point on every aspect. They understood a bit of English so the communication was fluid. The breakfast buffet was good. Laundry service was great.

Experience Tokyo without the tourists

A beautiful hotel in its day. Just badly in need of a lick of paint and wallpaper. Please don't change the "old" style. The fixtures and fittings are beautiful. The 21st floor bar is a fantastic venue with first-class staff and a view to match. The choice of restaurants, coffee shops, and a supermarket on the first floor was really useful.

$40 charge to use the gym/sauna/ pool ..... if it were open for use.

Best stay in Tokyo east side

The room was bigger than a standard hotel room in Tokyo and the view toward the Skytree is unbeatable. We had a pleasant stay here and the staff even helped us borrow a charger for the whole stay which was very nice!

Location-wise be aware it is a 10min walk to the nearest metro station or you can get a public bus to it.

The staff, the decoration, Hiroshima memorial peace and museum proximity, the bar!

A great hotel that is reasonably priced with good dining options and close to everything.

The breakfast buffet had a huge variety of options and was very good and a great price. The room was very spacious for the price and the view was fantastic. The location of the hotel is near all major forms of transportation and is walking distance to restaurants, convenience stores, and things to do.

The bed skirt of the bed had several very large stains on it which were a turn off but the bed and pillows themselves were clean.

Clean and Efficient Hotel

The Hotel East 21 Tokyo is a nice enough hotel for the weary traveler. The hotel is a 15 minute walk from the train station. The premises are clean and well-kept. There are plenty of small shops in the vicinity.

For what I paid for, I was hoping for a bigger room with a view. I had a brick wall for my viewing pleasure. It's not a deal-breaker, but I believe I overpaid for my stay. The bed was big enough for one person, not two. The room was clean but very small. There was barely enough room for two people and two pieces of luggage.
